We are using Redshift as a data dump destination for the analytics data we get from Segment.
Currently using one Redshift cluster per environment, node type dc2.large (smallest size) of 160 GB
Created a database user dedicated for Segment to write to Redshift database
Needed to whitelist Segment IP addresses
Essentially followed this guide: https://segment.com/docs/connections/storage/catalog/redshift/
